Sometimes after uninstalling a little wild WSUS 3.0 you can not reinstall, the installer gives an error like Failed to open SOFTWARE \ Microsoft \ Update Services \ Server \ Setup registry keys.
A solution to overcome this situation is to install WSUS on another server and export the group key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE \ Microsoft \ Update Services \ from the registry and then import them on the first server. I copied below the contents of these keys for your convenience, remains to adapt some values depending on your configuration.
